I can honestly say that you'll have as much chance of getting any .swf sprite sheets as you'll see a blue moon.
.swf file format is for 'rendered' movies / games, and is not an actual document. You should only look for sprite sheets in .fla file format.

Why four versions? I use CS4 but had a request for Flash 8, So I saved my CS4 into CS3 opened CS3 in...well...CS3. Saved it as Flash 8, then figured while i was testing it, Make an MX for those poor sobs who cant get Flash 8

Is there any chance you can make the sprite sheets into .png files for me? I don't have flash. Or is there a program that can do this?
I don't do conversions! I simply post up what other people provide.
I do not know of any programs which can convert .fla file format objects to .png file format images. You'd have to be able to open the Flash Documents first to be able to copy and paste the objects from it, and then convert it.

when i try to open it up in flash MX it says "unexpected file format"

You must open a .fla file in Flash MX which is in Flash MX .fla format.
Otherwise, that is the error which will occur.
Well i did what the guy right above did and ur adivce didnt help. i used .fla file but it still said unexpect file format. also btw do u check ur msessages daily?
Yes, I check my messages often each day.
I'm not sure why, but there are subtle coding differences in MX, 8, CS3 and CS4 .fla document coding which is the root of these issues.
If the Flash MX download doesn't work with Flash MX, I really do not know what's wrong.
btw i use flash mx and tried to donwload sprite sheet for 4
Thats because I'm pretty sure that the MC4 Sprite sheet is Flash 8 bioman3wars
Yeah, It's Flash 8, I think the only MX sheet up there is my MC9 one

Hey, well i just gotta say this. The guy who suggested the sprite site has a good idea there. Oh yeah, before i forget.
